Can someone tell me what MBTI type I am?

Every MBTI I’ve ever taken has shown me that I’m an INFJ, and I do have many of the characteristics of an INFJ. But I’ve noticed that my F was always borderline. I took a cognitive functions today and it told me that I was an INTJ. I have some of those characteristics but I am not 100% rationalist, leader (nor follower, but independent), or anything relevant to being what one could call the archetypal genius.

I think I’m really an INFJ that fell back on my tertiary Ti function since I grew up around the least accepting and most emotionless parents when I was younger, and I repressed feelings with thoughts as a defense mechanism or something of that nature. I know for sure that I’m an irrational human being. I’m pretty rational for an irrational person though. I guess it’s because I try to weigh all facets of any decision I make by taking logic and emotions into account. You can’t just pretend like emotions aren’t valid. But at the same time, irrationality often times promotes indecisiveness or impulsiveness, and if rushed to make a choice you might make a wrong move.

For example, reading body language is key in interpreting the total meaning of what someone is trying to say. If a person were to make a decision that would hurt their friend, but rationalized it on the basis of what that friend said, they ended up making a wrong decision using that oh so infallible thing called logic. As for irrationality, emotions that you are caught up in may lead you to make the wrong decisions because your mind won’t be focused on the overall consequences of your actions. Both are important in making choices in life. Without reason, irrationality would cause an individual to remain totally oblivious to the effects their actions could have. Without taking into account things that can’t be measured or logically analyzed like feelings, rational thought could easily be used to justify actions with unwanted consequences. Where one is lacking the other one picks up the slack.

So… Read my post carefully, read the results to my Cognitive Functions Test, and take into account the fact that according to Keirsey, and Myers-Briggs I am an INFJ.
